Manchester United Still The Number One As The Most Valuable Football Club

Now Manchester United Club is leading in English Premier League.  Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City and Tottenham try to challenge MU Club at the top.  At the same time, MU Club is the first in the list of the most valuable club based on the Forbes 2011 soccer valuations.
MU Club is running $1.86 billion for the seventh year.  Real Madrid is the second with $ 1.4 billion.  However, Arsenal is managed by Arsene Wenger becomes number three with $ 1.19 billion. 


Forbes is also reported that the top 20 clubs show an increase of $640 million net worth, an impressive 1.3% over last year.  At the same time, average income notes rising 25% to $40 million. Chelsea counts $ 658m, Liverpool ($ 552m), Tottenham ($ 412m), and Man City ($ 291m) in the top 20.

Chelsea is success to control their finance usage.  They convert his massive loans into equity through his holding company.  So, it needs to be repaid as he's the owner of both entities and also the debt drags down the valuation.
Another great club, Liverpool shows drop 33% from last year saddled with debt by its previous owners George Gillett and Tom Hicks.  This club recognizes success to use money for their need.


Tottenham shows good growth with an 11% increase.  This is because of its CL participation and strong brand following 33,000 on the ticket waiting list.  Tottenham is reported own 116m followers worldwide.

Man City is owned by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.  He give personal loan about $577m to Man City. The valuation has done and shows that increase 13% from Europa Cup participation, merchandising revenue, and boosted ticket sales.
