This is a sad news to football world and the most important thing is for Japan football community. Naoki Matsuda passed away after suffering a heart attack during training with his third tier club, Matsumoto Yamaga. The 34 year old was a part of Japan squad during the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He played all matches and help his country to make a historic place in the last 16.
The news makes FIFA President, Joseph S. Bletter write down a letter to President of the Japanese Football Association. Bletter express his sadness and wish condolences to the Japanese football community and, most importantly, to Naoki Matsuda’s friends and loved ones.
